Geoff Lippitt

Biography
Geoff has 44 years’ experience in the logistics, shipping, and the ports industry, with over 20 years spent in senior executive management roles leading and developing teams in commercial and operational environments. His key focus during this career has been to develop value, delivering robust growth through the execution of a clearly defined strategy. In these senior operational and commercial positions, Geoff has consistently developed new services and enhanced market penetration, whilst delivering shareholder value.
Geoff’s experience includes 14 years at PD Ports, one of the UK’s leading port operations and logistics providers, where his roles included Group Commercial and Strategy Director and Chief Commercial Officer. He was responsible for all sales and marketing activity, contract negotiation and implementation, customer management and solution design for all services at all locations. At PD Ports Geoff led major capital and revenue projects, developed new market opportunities, and also acted for PD Ports as liaison with UK Government ministers, departments and agencies, as well as key stakeholder organisations such as Maritime UK, UK Major Ports Group, British Ports Association, Logistics UK, and Rail Freight Group, where he currently serves as Vice-Chair and Director.
Before joining PD Ports Geoff was responsible for developing logistics contracts to support port based and intermodal traffic at Associated British ports. He was part of the ABP Connect team that purchased Hull Cold Store, Hams Hall Rail Terminal, and developed the SFTZ facility (since sold by ABP to DHL).
