The Solution
MDST carried out a study which involved:
- Analysis of trade flows between Central Europe and the rest of the world;
- Analysis of container shipping services calling at Greek and competitor ports;
- Analysis of performance of container shipping lines calling at Greek and competitor ports;
- An update of data inputs to European Container Port Demand Model for 2019 base year;
- Development of scenarios to be analysed using the MDST European Container Port Demand Model.
Outcome
A final report and advice were provided to the Greek government.
