MDS Transmodal is exhibiting at Multimodal, the freight and logistics industry meeting place, at the NEC in Birmingham between 13th and 15th June. MDST is at stand 8056 in the Rail Freight Group Pavilion, so please feel welcome to come along and have a chat.

Attendees of Multimodal will have the opportunity to access a beta version of the Box Trade Analyser (BTA) which is a new cloud-based information portal that provides comprehensive global container shipping data on containerised trade by world region, container shipping services, the global container fleet and trends in service performance. Access to the portal, which is designed for ports, terminals, shipping lines, shippers, freight forwarders and anyone other organisation with an interest in the global container industry, will be available to attendees of Multimodal on an exclusive basis for the duration of the exhibition.

Mike Garratt, MDST Chairman, is also speaking at the parallel Multimodal conference on the balance of demand and supply in the global container shipping industry and what this means for the UK logistics industry, based in part on the BTA data resources.

As well as being able to have a demonstration of the BTA portal, the MDST stand will also have copies of our latest research note on Large-scale Warehousing in England and Wales: Recent Market Trends, which highlights how the supply of warehouses over 9,000 square metres has grown by 6.7 million square metres in the last five years.

For public sector organisations and their consultants, we will also have information on the stand about our Freight data Hub, which provides comprehensive data from the Great Britain Freight Model (GBFM) for use in providing quantitative evidence for the new Local Transport Plans in England. More information on the hub is available at: www.freightdatahub.org

We look forward to seeing you at Multimodal!
